OBD2 car fault diagnostic scanner
OBD2 car fault diagnostic scanner
Couldn't load pickup availability
A handheld diagnostic scanner for 12V cars that plugs into the OBD2 socket, usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side, and reads the fault codes behind a warning light. It is powered from the socket, so there are no batteries to go flat, and the screen shows the code and lets you clear it once the fault is fixed.
- Type: car fault diagnostic scanner
- Voltage: 12V, from the car's diagnostic socket
- Working temperature: -60 to +60°C
- Options: black (KW310), red (KW310) or red KW309
- In the box: 1 reader
Fitment: 12V vehicles with an OBD2 socket. Check the listing details for the protocols and vehicle years each model supports before ordering.
Practical tip: write the code down before you clear it and look it up; clearing the light does not fix the fault, and it will return. An engine management light that stays on is a major defect at the MOT, so read the code a couple of weeks before the test to leave time for the repair. See our pre-MOT checklist.
